In our international work (through our Ecuador- based partnership with Centro Integral de la Familia) we provide ongoing congresos (collaborative conferences) focusing on areas such as trauma, addiction, mental illness, family developmental cycles, family and community violence, children and adolescent mental health and incarceration. We strive to provide all training in a collaborative, culturally-competent manner. To this end, we have an ongoing evaluation process of our efforts to ensure the highest levels of competence and effectiveness in the delivery of our services.
Our work in the local immigrant communities of the Delaware Valley (through La Puerta Abierta/The Open Door) provides a training venue for bilingual university interns and community volunteers who are developing and refining clinical skills through their work with local immigrant youth and families.
